Function Terms and Conditions

A function booking is only confirmed upon receipt of required deposit. Sartoria reserves the right to cancel a tentative booking should the requested deposit not be received within the required period. The invoice balance should be received 7 days prior to event date. Sartoria requires a 4 weeks minimum notice in writing prior to function date, of the intention to cancel. A security deposit will only be refunded, less booking fee $250, inclusive GST under those conditions. For all functions at Sartoria there’s a minimum spend of $3000 that includes beverage, food and venue hire. Sartoria support Responsible Service of Alcohol. Clients will be held responsible for ensuring that their guests behave in a responsible manner and guests under 18 do not consume alcohol. Sartoria reserves the right to refuse supply of alcohol to patrons who appear to be intoxicated. Sartoria reserves the right to ask an intoxicated and or disorderly patron to vacate the premises at any time. Sartoria reserves the right to ask for proof of identification before serving alcoholic beverages to patrons. For function catering we require a minimum of 7 days notice for final numbers of guests. We also understand that there could be changes and special request. Sartoria will do all to accommodate these changes subject to availability. All billing will be based on your confirmation of final numbers (unless increased numbers have been accepted by Sartoria). All changes are to be provided in writing. We are happy to provide special dietary requirements including vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, gluten free with a minimum of 7 days notice. Please note we are unable to guarantee that menu items will be 100% free of nuts, dairy, gluten free or other products. If a client provides their own cake Sartoria reserves the right to charge a cakeage fee of $2.95 per guest to be cut, plated and forks given. Given Sartoria licensing all functions/event must cease at 11:30 and no extension can be given. A security guard is available at a cost of $40 per hour including GST. Please inform us if you’d like this service. Sartoria has public liability insurance to protect it against third Party Claims for bodily injury and property damage arising out of its negligence. However the policy does not cover the liability of any other party. Therefore, the client is responsible for any damage or injury caused by any other person acting under the clients direction or control. At Sartoria this person includes any person involved with performance or  activities during the function or whilst arranging the function. Although all care is taken. Sartoria will not be responsible for any loss or damage to property including hired equipment leftbefore, during or after function/event. Due to licensing restriction and proximity of residents there are strict limitation on the volume of music and audio equipment used in the premises. In some cases Djs are allowed but music levels will be managed by the venue.
